Changes made from version 5.36 to version 6.00:
- "SIM card registration failed" message is shown when the
SIM card or phone is unknown or rejected from the network.
- Unknown callers (private/unlisted numbers) are now registered as
missed calls in the Call register (menu 3-1). They are listed as "(no
number)" and it is now possible to see Time of call
- Arabic (Indian) numbers are used correctly
- Improvement to receiving an over the air ringing tone. Earlier
when receiving an over the air ringing tone and selecting playback
directly, the first tone would be partially cut off during the playback
(only when the keypad tones were activated)
- Improvement to SIM Application Toolkit
- Improvements to T9
- when using Options menu to insert a symbol twice in an empty SMS
editor (e.g. @@) (This problem was presented only in SW versions 5.31
and 5.36)
- phone remembers the T9 state after entering and leaving the options
menu (earlier when entering and leaving the options menu from the
SMS editor after having disabled T9 with the #-key, the phone would
activate T9 again automatically)

Changes made from version 5.31 to version 5.36:
- MAD2WD1 ROM6 support added
Note 1: To be able to flash NSE-8 phones with MAD2WD1 ROM6
flash device, the FPS-4 Prommer box device list has to be version 1.31.
Note 2: Phones with MAD2WD1 ROM6 cannot be flashed/reflashed
with MCU software older than version 5.26
Changes made from version 5.26 to version 5.31:
- Improvement to RF signal bars. When RX was reduced by e.g. 50 dB
in phones with software version 5.22 or 5.26, the RF signal bars may
only decrease by one bar instead of two-three bars.
- Improvement to Picture messages. In previous versions Picture messages
couldn't be forwarded unless the text was edited.
- SMS editor speed improved. In previous versions the SMS editor
could appear slow when entering long messages (100-160 characters)
- Improvement to composer. In previous versions certain sequences
of tones could cause the phone to reset.

Note: As far as functionality is concerned, software version
5.26 is identical to version 5.22.

- Improvement to Information/Emergency numbers. Now 112 is treated
as an emergency number even though it is in the Information Number

Syne, Jumping, William Tell, Matilda, Brave Scotland, Reveille, Hiphop,
Bossanova, Salsa, Running Horse and Fusion) are raised one octave

Changes made from version 5.01 to version 5.10:
Information Number correction: If any of the information numbers on
the SIM card had fewer digits than the last information number in the
list, the information number dialling would fail. (Note: Information
Numbers can be found under menu 1-10, if the SIM card supports this
CPHS feature)

one of two question marks (?) were located in the row of characters
- Note changed after erasing a Fixed Dialing Number (FDN). When editing
an FDN number and afterwards erasing it from the FDN list, the phone
previously displayed an error note "Invalid location" even
though the FDN number was erased from the FDN list. Now note "Erased"
is displayed.
- When inserting an euro sign in a SMS the message length counter
could suddenly show 65535. This has changed now.
- Now the menu index in Hebrew is written the same way as in English,
only Arabic menu index is turned, e.g. 4-4-1 -> 1-4-4
- Improvement to prepaid credit menu: After selecting menu 3-8-1-1
(on) the phone retured to menu 3-8. Now it returns to menu item 3-8-1
when selecting 3-8-1-1 (on)
When playing a newly composed ringing tone in the Composer, the first
tone was cut off when the keypad tones were on. Now all tones can be
heard.
Changes made from version 4.43 to version 4.65:
- Improvement to charger detection and clock stoppings (in the display)
- Menu support for OTA prepaid service implemented
- Improved Short Term Memory: the number from e.g. missed calls list
can now be edited
- SIM ATK message sent note improved. Now SMS message send indication
is shown only once when the message is sent.
- SIM-card busy note implemented in SIM ATK. SIM card busy note is
now displayed when entering SIM ATK menu while SIM card is waiting
for response to send SMS or send SS command.
- Keyguard can now be on, when the phone is connected to PPH-1 car
kit
- Operator name changed "KB Impuls" -> "Bee Line"

number again.

Note 1: A new flash device from ATMEL (code 4340789) is also
implemented in system module GD7_xx, and before attempting to re-flash
ATMEL devices, the support device list file (diskette code : 0774228)
in the FPS-4 prommer box need to be updated to version 1.11, refer to
the FPS-4 Device list update section.
Note 2: RF tuning has been changed with version 4.43, due to
the fact that side channel compensation has been activated. This requires
the use of Service Software version 241.04.00 or later to be able to
tune the RF parameters, refer to the tuning instruction section.
Note 3: Transceivers using Philips Power Amplifier have own
transceiver codes (e.g. for Language package Euro A the code for transceiver
with Philips Power Amplifier is 0505103).
